The goal of this 7-day workshop is to connect, create, and communicate. We created this program to share our perspectives and experience, while building something bigger, a community of people brought together by creativity, movement, and adventure. In a world focused on online-life and temporary content, we want to offer something real, meaningful connections, new experiences, and memories that last.
Through photography, content creation, and shared moments, you’ll have space to learn, create, exchange ideas, and get inspired by others.
We give you freedom when it comes to choosing your gear and editing tools, showing that you don’t need expensive equipment to create something special. Just the right energy, an open mind, and the freedom to express yourself.

MEET YOUR HOSTS
Kasia
a photographer, videographer, and content creator from Poland with a passion for storytelling through visuals.
Since 2018, she has been working in the creative industry, capturing authentic moments, energy, and emotion through both photo and video.
In 2022, she followed her love for travel and surfing to Indonesia, where she built her experience working with brands in the surf, fashion, food, and action sports worlds.
Earlier this year, after visiting Morocco for the first time, she found deep inspiration in its culture, landscapes, and atmosphere.
Exploring the area and creating there the idea for this retreat — a space designed to bring people together through creativity, connection, and new experiences.
She is excited to share her knowledge, inspire others, and guide guests through an unforgettable creative journey.
Marie
a retreat host and entrepreneur from Belgium, with a passion for creating meaningful experiences and bringing people together.
Since completing her studies in tourism, she has been building her own path in the travel and hospitality industry, combining her love for surfing, community, and connection.
After years of traveling and surfing along the Portuguese coast, she eventually found her way to Morocco; a place that instantly felt like home. Inspired by its culture, landscapes, and laid-back lifestyle, she founded Barefoot Under The Sun, a surf & yoga retreat concept designed for women.
Alongside this, she has always had a strong passion for photography, capturing moments, energy, and the essence of a place. Bringing this together with her experience in hosting retreats, this photography retreat feels like a natural extension of what she loves to create.

The Accommodation
Located on a tranquil hillside just outside the bustling center of Tamraght, the house offers the perfect escape to unwind, relax, and soak in breathtaking views. While you'll feel a world away in our calm oasis, our recently renovated (November 2024) authentic Moroccan guesthouse seamlessly blends traditional charm with all the modern amenities you need for a truly comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The Rooms
The house has four different rooms: A twin room with shared bathroom, a double room with a small ensuite bathroom, a cozy 2-person dorm with a bunk bed, and a spacious 5-person dorm. The shared dorms can make use of two shared bathrooms in the hallway and a separate toilet.
Our heart often beats in the open-air lounge and dining area, a vibrant hub where we gather to share meals, stories, and laughter. This welcoming space boasts an incredible Tamraght guesthouse sea view, offering a panoramic vista over the entire town and the sparkling ocean, making every sunset an unforgettable daily spectacle.
Ascend to the rooftop terrace, your sanctuary for peace and perspective. Wake up to the rays of sunshine and singing birds for an energizing dose of stoke before starting the day. It's the perfect spot for a morning yoga session soaking in both the mountain view and sea view, a prime location for watching the sun dip below the horizon, or simply unwinding under a canopy of stars after a fulfilling day.
Who is it for?
The retreat is curated for men and women of all skill levels; from curious beginners to professional photographers. Whether you shoot on a high-end digital body, a film camera, or just your smartphone, the focus is on your creative vision and the stories you want to tell.
What to bring?
Bring your camera (and charger/batteries), a laptop or other device that will allow you to edit in your preferred program. Make sure the program is installed for an easy workflow. Don't forget comfortable walking shoes for our trips, a swimsuit, and an open mind.
We provide a disposable camera for a special analog task.
Where exactly is the retreat?
We are based at The Horizon surf house in Tamraght, Morocco. It’s a peaceful hillside village overlooking the Atlantic, roughly 40 minutes from Agadir. It’s a land of incredible light, raw textures, and slow movement.
What makes this experience different?
This is not just a technical workshop. We focus on the "why" before the "how." By combining photography with movement (pilates and surf) and deep immersion in Moroccan culture, we help you slow down and see the world differently, resulting in personal, powerful imagery.
